A Look Back at 2024

At the end of each year, we look forward to seeing our ‘stats’ - how many members we served and in what ways, how we gave back to our communities and more. We thought we’d share some of them with you!

We had 19,488 members at the end of 2024. 13,850 of them use digital banking, over 3,700 have enrolled in myCredit and a little more than 1,200 are using myCards125 members referred their friends to OFCU! 

Our lending team processed 3,921 loan applications and saved members $284,045 by refinancing auto loans!

Our ATM saw 170,465 transactions, while our tellers took care of 284,571 in-branch transactions. A total of 787,855 transactions were made through the convenience of digital banking.

Our Call Center team spoke to 57,715 callers last year – that’s over 11,500 per representative!  In between calls, they responded to 10,493 messages that came through digital banking.
 
We grew to 45 employees with a combined 587 years of experience at OFCU. Our team upheld the credit union motto of ‘people helping people’ last year by logging 660 hours of volunteer time.

The marketing team was busy as usual. $65,455 was donated to community causes and $100,500 was spent on sponsorships. They educated 390 people on topics from counting coins to preventing fraud - and sponsored 66 events across Oxford County

Donations made to local food pantries from our Campaign to End Hunger fund totaled $17,500 and an additional $1,817 was contributed by OFCU through food drives and donations of reusable bags.

Through 2024 we had 21,672 people interact with our social media posts and gained 333 new followers. Pages on our website were viewed over a quarter of a million times.

Credit Cards & Interest Rates

A few weeks ago, I was paying for purchases in a retail store and was asked if I wanted to apply for their credit card. I said I wasn’t interested, and the cashier replied, “Good. The interest rate is 30%! Can you believe that?!”
